Speakers to Offer Better Business Practices During June Market
DALLAS – April 15, 2010 – Dallas Market Center, the world’s most complete wholesale
marketplace, recently announced guest speakers for the Dallas Total Home & Gift Market
taking place June 23-29, 2010. The speakers and their programs are as follows:
Richard Fenton and Andrea Waltz will share their “Go for No! Profit Generating Philosophy.”
One of the single greatest things a business owner can do is learn how to proactively drive
customer interactions and hear "no" more often. This counter-intuitive sales philosophy will
have retailers looking at their business in an entirely new way. This strategy can dramatically
increase sales, remove negative feelings about hearing "no,” eliminate business "slumps,” and
explode income. The program will take place at noon Thursday, June 24 in the Seminar Suite
9065, World Trade Center (WTC). Boxed lunches will be available for $5.
After spending the majority of their careers in the retail industry, Fenton and Waltz launched
their company more than a decade ago to provide solutions that help retailers increase sales,
improve service, and lead store teams. They have worked with independent retailers and
associations as well as large corporations like JCPenney, Pep Boys, and Build-A-Bear
Workshop, Inc. They are authors of several books including Go for No!, Retail Magic and
PLUCK! Providing Courageous Take Charge Retail Service.
Leatrice Eiseman, the executive director of the Pantone Color Institute, will present “Color
Trends: The Catalysts That Create Change.” In today’s complex and challenging marketplace,
color has the unique ability to attract and engage the eye, elicit emotion, enhance the product
or environment, and ultimately tempt the consumer. It is the catalyst that can spark the sale,
define the space, and create the magic and the mood. Her program will be Friday, June 25 at
noon in the Seminar Suite 9065, WTC. Boxed lunches will be available for $5.
Eiseman has been called "the international color guru." Her color expertise is recognized
worldwide, especially as a prime consultant to Pantone, Inc. She has helped many companies
make the best and most educated choice of color for product development, logos and
identification, brand imaging, packaging, Web sites, point of purchase, interior/exterior design
and any other application where color choice is critical to the success of the product or
environment. She heads the Eiseman Center for Color Information and Training and is also
executive director of the Pantone Color Institute.
